Our vision is that patients around the world who suffer with kidney failure will have the option of a living-donor kidney transplant and the chance of a life free of dialysis.
Kidney failure is a hidden emergency in developing countries, where for most patients the outlook is worse than a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS. Teaching skills in renal transplantation can change this. The long-term vision for TLC is a self-sustaining global network of successful well-supported transplant centres, saving hundreds of lives per year, with TLC acting as the educational catalyst for change.
We hope that you will share our passion for this vital work, which is saving lives and improving medical skills and understanding for the future. It gives a healthy member of a family a chance to donate one of their kidneys and save the life of their loved one who is dying from kidney failure.
